We have 1700 total sq. feet. It's not the house. But, I live in a desirable location on the water with a 10K lb. boat dock in sailboat depth water.
Hurricane coverage is called flood coverage down here. It's part of the deal living on the water. My house has went up $250K in value in the last year or so. That's why the insurance and taxes went through the roof. |

Miami’s professional teams have been crappy for years… aside from the Heat (and that has more to do with Pat Riley’s influence than taxes).
Elsewhere in the state, Jacksonville and Orlando’s respective pro teams have been awful as well. The Bucs were non-factors for years until signing Brady and the Rays are successful because of their minor league system/player development… NOT by luring/signing big name free agents. So the OP’s hypothesis does not hold up. |
