I wouldn't write Ware off as a PUP guy just yet. Didn't he blow that knee the first preseason game? He should be ready to go full bore by the start of training camp then, right? In theory, anyway?

Possibly Ware simply won't be as effective and KC wants more than what we expect him to produce?

Ware was never that fast to begin with, then you add this injury and it make you wonder. Veach is focused on speed on offense. Maybe this is the reason for the move

Kerwynn Williams is another return option for the Chiefs to compete for a returner role with wide receivers Tyreek Hill (punts) and De’Anthony Thomas (kickoffs).

Williams returned 16 kicks & 21 punts last year for Arizona, which means that Williams’ addition gives the Chiefs some versatility for Dave Toub’s unit.

Ware was a punisher ,he runs hard. I want him to back up Hunt to wear down Defenses.

I was really looking forward to seeing Hunt (Top 3 RB) and Ware (Top 1/3rd RB when healthy) in the same backfield.

I think (or hope, rather) that the Williams' (x2) pickups are replacements for West and Akeem Hunt.

2017
1 - Kareem Hunt
2 - Charcandrick West
3 - Akeem Hunt

Returner - Akeem Hunt

2018 (my preference)
1 - Kareem Hunt
2 - Spencer Ware
3 - Damien Williams + Kerwyn Williams

Returner - Kerwyn Williams

All of these Williams signings are superb value.

It sure does seem like KC is thinking Ware starts out on pup.

I like this college highlight. At about a minute in, his QB talks about how Kerwynn says "he has the stickies" or good hands. I think the Chiefs plan on throwing the ball a lot. Get ready for the spread in the NFL.

I hope not. That 1-2 punch would be nice to keep Hunt fresh.
