Henne was wonderful when you needed him for a few scripted drives
Gabbert just isn't very good Not a fan of Wentz but kinda feel like at this stage in the career he knows what he is |

What QB comes in here thinking they got a shot at the job? Of course he knows he’s a backup.

my point is that he's been through enough in his career that he will probably eat humble pie. First it was accepting that he will never fight for a starting job even for a bad team. Last year it was accepting he wasn't worth what he thought. He's been brought down many pegs and if that straightens out his attitude we may end up with a real good one.

Pretty big slice of humble pie getting served to Wentz. He was a #2 draft pick who was given Mahomes level praise in the media during his first 2-3 seasons. The wheels fell off big time! That said, I hope Andy & Patrick can get this guy to be a much better backup QB than Gabbert.

It’s still weird how he didn’t seem to get another chance after an acceptable season with the Colts.

He lost his job to Taylor Heinicke after breaking a finger in a win over the Bears at Soldier Field in mid-October. The Commanders, who were 2-4 under Wentz, went 4-1 under Heinicke, who remained the starter after Wentz was healthy. |

Guys, Gabbert is so bad.
Wentz isn't that good. But he's not Gabbert bad. |

Doesn't need to be great. Needs to execute a few scripted drives in a pinch
Gabbert was totally incapable of that. Henne was dogshit everywhere else but did this part of the job exceptionally well. Wentz probably at a point in his career where he's thankful to just be around. I like it. |

God forbid we need him to play but Andy Reid can get the most out of Wentz.
