What are you looking forward to the most this season?

I'm ****ing stoked for this season. Life without Mahomes is certainly less.

I'm trying to soak up everything I can during the Mahomes era because it is as good as it ever will be. Accordingly, I'm looking for new ways to pump it directly into my veins.

Personally, I'm looking forward to see if Mahomes will turn the dial to rape. He's spent the last 2 years going underneath and turning off the howitzer that made him Mahomes. Now we have Worthy and Brown with the capacity to blow the roof off again. They should be able to catch something instead of wasting an MVS down, and open up the middle. I won't lie, Brown and Worthy streaking across a wide open middle may be just as good as bombing them deep. Let's ****ing GO.

What are you guys looking forward to this year?

Bonus points if Steele or one of the late round picks becomes a major contributor.
That's a good call. I'm currently hoping for Steele to wreck a game and some meltdowns of where did they find THIS guy. LOL I get a fairly shocking amount of utility out of those.

Same. I'm just looking for more ports directly into the veins.

18 isn't going to happen again (probably in our lifetimes) because the catharsis of decades of ****tardery and abject failure. We can't get back into that headspace again.

The offense will be more explosive but I think they will also be cocky and they will have fun.
Interesting, and probably valid. We need more of this.

Also, I can't believe we're revisiting this shit again, but mahomes not being rated #1 and again these damn comparisons to Lamar, you know petty mahomes will be out. And it will be a cocky mahomes who this year will have reason to trust his targets. I keep telling myself this will be the year the nonsense comparisons finally stop, but I'll take it if it gives mahomes that extra motivation.

Serious answer.

I loved that first pass to Hollywood. Our offense has been a.. functional struggle for a couple of years. I'd love for it look easy to move down the field again.

This is the best group of wide receivers in Chiefs history.

They're going to make magic.

No. Watkins was constantly hurt, and even when he was on the field was hit or miss.

When you consider that our FOURTH wide receiver can burn a DB deep at ANY time, and the FIFTH receiver is Mecole ****ing Hardman, this group has incredible depth.

There is a point in some of our games where "Mahomes Inevitability" becomes apparant. It isn't necessarily a scoring play, it might be a third down conversion - but you just feel that a toggle has been switched and there is nothing the other team can do about it. One example would be in the last quarter of our recent SB victory. When we were down by 3 with a few ticks less than two minutes to play - I don't think anyone doubted that Mahomes would score - the inevitable toggle had been switched.. In the OT when we got the ball, everyone knew the game was over for the niners.

When I sense these moments in the game, I cannot stop the grin that overtakes my face. That inner knowledge that the game is over, minutes before the final whistle sounds is sooo pleasing. I look forward to that.
