Save him until the final play in the Super Bowl when we are thrashing the Saints 45-17, and then pay him for all the ”inspiration” that he has provided over the past two years.

Are we sure about that? Have we even be clued in as to which part of the foot the deformity is located?
I'm no expert but I had read that if the deformity is on the back of the heel, in order to operate, they need to cut the Achilles, shave the bone down, and then reattach it. Apparently the recovery timeline on that is shorter than if you rupture your Achilles but still takes several months. If Berry had only learned of the deformity deep into training camp or at the start of the season, he may have thought he'd be able to cope with the pain and play at some point this season instead of being shutdown for another year. |

True. As some of you know, I have a sports med guy in the family and he says that if it's gone on this long and hasn't responded to other therapies, it's not going to fix itself.

He needs to restructure his contract. At this rate we may only get four to five games out of him. If he doesn’t have surgery to fix the flare ups this off-season then we are most likely back in this same scenario next season And even if he goes with the off season surgery he still may miss sept, oct of next season if the procedure involves the Achilles????
