I'd be very temped to take Newton.
I imagine they'd take Franklin or Kingsley though. |

Poles can get Odunze, the 2nd best Tackle or an elite pass rusher at 9. Why would he not just take that? |

I'm still leaning OT here in that scenario. But if they saw more from Morris than I did and wanted to go with Newton instead, that wouldn't bother me a bit. I think he's going to be a very good player. Patience will be needed though. It seems like the learning curve for interior pass rushers is pretty steep. Though with Tank back (and Danna's ability to move inside) we have a little depth to work with there. NT isn't great, but you could rotate him in/around at 3-tech. You could really just have him back up Jones if you wanted to have have him come into that spot when Jones kicks out to DE. Jones - Newton - Wharton - Karlaftis would be an interesting little pass rush package to send out there in clear passing situations or on the occasional 1st down when you're daring them to run the ball. |

Notable in that Shrager mock is that... Brian Thomas Jr. is not mentioned.
I could see 1 team passing on him for the other guys around him. But 3-4? Nah. |

I do like Polk's ability to catch with his hands instead of his body, and to hang on to the ball through contact. A lot of his catches in this video are due to coverage busts, though.

Sure if he's there at 95 grab him, after we get Morgan/Kingsley at 32 and Sweat at 64

I'm not advocating for Polk at 32 just for the record and I agree. I am full reerun for Pearsall though lol. I'm not saying at 32 but I'm not not saying at 32.

The PFN simulator keeps sliding DeJean or Newton to 32 today. Has anyone else noticed patterns that seem to last about 24 hours? I wonder if this is an algorithm thing or if they manually add those for a day or two.

Johnny Newton had his pro day this morning. He was recovering from a foot injury which is why he didn’t run at Indy. He didn’t run the 40 or any other drills today, just on field drills.
Feels like recency bias is pushing him down the board simply bc of not testing. I think he’s gonna fall and we will be able to take him if we want to. |

If a guy like Newton falls, then you move up (probably) for a WR in the second are you completely out on late Tackles? We took a project tackle last year.
