Well, whatever it is, it's how it's going to be from here on out. I believe we're at the limit of what people are willing to do.

You mean the seven day rolling average? If so, we've been above 1,000/day since July 29

I guess some have officially moved back to deaths from cases. A few weeks ago no one was talking about deaths and everyone was talking about cases. No one mentioned the other day was the lowest day for cases since the beginning of July.

And since we are on the topic no one really points out that while cases literally doubled and then some from the NY era deaths have made to just over half of what they were back then.

So, double the cases, half the deaths.

Deaths are so inconsistently counted on various sites that it feels impossible to know what the true count is.

The same thing can be said for cases.

I agree which is why I just stick to Worldometers. Is it the most accurate? I don't know but it is widely accepted.

Very much true. The reporting is horrific. Absence of putting cases, hospitalizations, deaths in the proper time period leads to mass confusion, which we have been dealing with for a long time. Differing standards of what actually is a COVID death or positive case also leads to the sloppy manner in which this virus has been tracked. You can only hope that public health officials are given far more accurate data by which to make decisions then this stuff.

I've seen almost 100% of people wearing masks at places like the grocery store and other retail places, but then drive by bars that are packed with people (not wearing masks, because they are drinking). Then check FB and see pics of groups of people standing side by side not wearing masks.

Even when 100% of people are wearing them, at least 10% aren't covering their nose, or are wearing types that are ineffective (gaiters, ones with vents, etc)

There have been several states (CA was a big one) have data issues in the last 2-3 weeks that have affected reporting and Florida stopped testing for several days due to the hurricane. Hopefully it is all mostly corrected and probably is some back logged data in there.

The one consistent throughout all of this is the excuses for various states and their reporting one way or the other. Just sayin.....

Not saying you are making excuses for the states but rather repeating them
