Yea, I'm a bit puzzled by the MVS hate. I guess some fans really thought he was going to have a break out year this season and I wasn't on that train.

His job is to threaten the defense/clear things out and have the occasional big game and occasionally make Rodgers Mahomes frustrated.

Seems to me he's still doing what he was paid to do.

Maybe just start with a few tweaks first and see how that goes. Less Moore, more Rice. Then go from there.
I'd like to mix it up a bit at WR to see what we've got in some of the guys that are producing. What would happen if we gave them more prominent roles?

Just curious.

Ok, I don't actually hate any of our guys. MVS, if you're reading this I was really happy you joined the Chiefs and I know you bring more value than some of my posts express. I just feel like Watson has the hot hand right now on deep routes and it would give our young guys some confidence to put them out there in front for a few games, as well as light a fire under you to produce a bit more considering your contract. Wishing you the best!

Besides for the small time he had TO who were Andy's WRs in Philly? I'm having a hard time remembering all of them. It kind of seems like he's always struggled to find top notch WRs. Jackson and Maclin and?

I'd point out though that Veach has shown plenty of interest in top end talent around the league at the WR position, just has't necessarily landed a big fish yet. He's always exploring potential opportunities.

Makes it exciting to be a Chiefs fan!

Pat seeming to lock into Kelce and hold the ball could be because Kelce runs what they refer to as "Kelce routes" against zone, which are not prescribed routes. They can be late developing because he reads, reacts and finds the soft spot.

I think this opening to a Chiefs article on Newsweek pretty much sums up this thread:

"The Kansas City Chiefs currently resemble a Rorschach Test.

If you're feeling optimistic, the club is in a good spot. The offense is yet to truly click, but Andy Reid's squad is still sitting pretty at 5-1. Once everything falls into place, the rest of the league better look out.

But if you're a bit more pessimistic, there is another read on the situation. You could argue that the Chiefs are genuinely underwhelming on offense and the generational talents of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are carrying the unit. Even if the results are currently working out, that's not a recipe for lifting the Lombardi Trophy.

And while KC doesn't really have to have an answer yet—it's a long season, and the AFC West isn't looking like Murderers' Row—the October 31 NFL Trade Deadline does accelerate the calculus a bit.

For a team like the Chiefs, making a trade isn't the ideal option. But, at this point, they'll have to genuinely consider making some compromises to help the receiver room."

Wondering if CAR gets Jeudy, would they trade us Thielen? He's no world beater but he'd feast in KC. Chiefs get a cheap upgrade, Thielen gets a chance a at ring, Panthers get a pick to rebuild younger.
