They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

There are exactly ZERO problems created by adding Hardman to this squad and some problems that are potentially addressed.
His MRI came back negative today with no structural damage, so he may not miss much or any time.

No…Mahomes lost his 2 and 3. Or are you just going to ignore the fact that Kelce is our main target?

'No structural damage' means that there are things stretched but not 'splodey.

It's similar to an ankle sprain in that regard - there may be no structural damage but you've stretched the shit out of stuff to get to that point so it's gonna take a bit for the range of motion to come back.

I think he's gotta still be out 2-3 weeks and if that's a minimum, just plop him on there for 4, trade for Hardman and see how things sit when both he and James are healthy and ready to return.

Rice is the only one who fits that description so far.

And Kelce ain't healthy. He has done about as well as anyone could hope this year while dealing with both knee & ankle problems, but he ain't healthy. That's a difficult thing for everyone involved in the offense.

It feels like a lot is hinging on the situation with Skyy Moore. Do you keep playing him in hopes that he will eventually become a big contributor? Or do you bench him and give his reps to Rice/Ross/Toney?

IMHO, one of the best things that could happen to KC is for the team to rest Kelce for a week in order to force Mahomes and the WR's to develop better trust and chemistry.

I think about it like this: if I were another team and wanted to poach a receiver from the Chiefs, this is who I would want in order:

1. Rice
2. MVS
3. Toney
—Gap—
4. Ross
5. Watson

Skyy Moore is a worthless midget

Rice must not be able to handle the full playbook and roles yet. It’s clear he is the most dynamic receiver on the team.

Our DEFENSE is LIGHTS OUT and Legit! Have not seen this kind of D in years! I LOVE IT! Our OFFENSE SUCKS! Bring back Mecole, Rice is looking up! Toney? No answer, Skyy More? Man we need more offensive weapons badly! Get McKinnon more involved, Gray, Ross or whom ever else. We need more fire power on the O for sure. They say defense wins Championships. We need better weapons for Mahomes or the current receivers need to step up their game quickly.

My only issue with that is if they were to bring in Hardman, then I can see them giving Mecole a lot of the snaps that Rice should be getting.

I'm a huge Hardman fan and wanted us to resign him. I just don't want this golden opportunity for Rice to get more snaps to just be thrown away. I think a WR group of Rice, Hardman, and Toney could be pretty sweet. MVS has snowballed into a larger turd this year and Moore is just absolute trash.

I guess the real question is did Mecole follow through with all of his rehab and has he gotten his elite speed back? I mean…he’s kinda lazy and dumb…if he didn’t fully rehab and lost just a little speed, he’s not an effective nfl player at that point.

Mecoles only truly special asset is his kind of speed that’s special….if he’s now a 4.4 guy, what he used to bring to jet sweeps and the other gadget plays that made him a weapon are now watered down.

I’m low key excited to see Rice/Ross get more targets with Watson and James both out.

If we are still struggling at WR right at the trade deadline, I’m sure Veach will make a call to NY to see if they want to let Mecole go for minimal cost.

How in the world is he lazy? Him being dumb wouldn't surprise me, but he's never seemed lazy to me.

Also I really don't see Ross getting many more targets. I think it'd take another injury for him to get more than 15% of the snaps.

His snaps have gone up each week the last 3 and Watson will be out 2-3 weeks ir more.

Ross is going to get more snaps and Pat trusts him and wants to throw to him.

And yes, Mecole is lazy and stupid.

So, I have met and interacted with Mecole, and he is absolutely NOT dumb. He does have an accent, and talks very quickly, but he is not dumb at all.

I have no idea if he is "lazy" but since he worked his ass off to get a scholarship to an SEC D1 school, and then worked his ass off becoming a Pro Bowl return specialist, and a 2 time Super Bowl champ, I am guessing he isn't lazy.

I know that I am making some big assumptions, but I don't think you get to D1 football, or land at an SEC school, or end up a 2nd round draft pick, make an NFL team, earn a Pro Bowl and 2 Super Bowl rings, by being lazy.

I watched old Chiefs fans from the early 1970's want to bench Len Dawson for Mike Livingston. One is in the Hall of Fame and the other only cracked 2000 yards passing once. Mahomes is the best player I have seen in 52 years of following the NFL. Jerry Rice is number 2.

You are carrying forward an ugly tradition of the KC fan base of blaming the QB even when they are a top performer on the team. You aren't the only one doing this, but my god. I don't have words.

Our WRs haven't been great, it's especially odd to see MVS' regression and I was expecting more from Toney. BUT, I dont think it's all on them. At this point it feels like a "down" year by Mahomes' standards, or at least not vintage. He's missing people, bailing early, not stepping up when he can etc etc. Obviously he's so good he can still win games, but I'm hoping it clicks again soon.

I actually think the OL is as big a problem as the WRs. Trey has been off and our OTs have just not been good. In fact, I think Mahomes has made them look better by avoiding inevitable pressure by bailing early. They're getting beaten a lot.
