*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I gotta say that the interception on the left sideline was an amazing catch by the Bengals guy. The coverage was really tight, but for 99 percent of cornerbacks that ends up being an incompletion and not an interception. That guy was almost good enough to play for the Chiefs.

I want him to protect the ball much better in these regular season games, but it feels like he uses them as practice for the Playoffs. He is way more careful with the ball in Playoff games.

Look, its just like what Spags does sometimes, its a lot to do with scheme and game plan.

Late in the game at times they were rushing 2 and dropping 9 guys in 2 sets of 4 with a safety deep, just a wild defense.

And Hendrickson is a ****ing beast, that defense is far from talentless. He absolutely destroyed Orlando Brown a few years ago much like he did Kingsly in this game.

If we see them again which I doubt we do, it will be a totally different game. Sometimes the other team just dials up a really good game plan.

BTW Mahomes had 70 yards in passing called back due to penalties. We really shot ourselves in the foot as much as Cincy stopped us but a lot of that had to do with the tackles struggling with their rush.

As locked in as he was in the Raven game, he just seemed off this week, specifically after that first pick.

I dunno, just weird.

I was thinking during the game that I hate when Pat throws an early INT. Seems like he struggles to get back on the train in those cases, but I don’t have any numbers to back it up.

One of those INTs was a product of a spectacular play by the defender. Not much you can really do about that.
