2) I’m traveling but preliminary reviews of Watkins’ film shows: 2.1) Goff is not a great QB. Lots of misses after Watkins got complete separation from the corner; and 2.2) Watkins got open far more often than his numbers show. If he had a QB that had the arm strength and accuracy to get the ball to him, his numbers would have been much higher. We can all agree that based upon he sample size we have, Mahomes will be a lot better than Goff. Point 2.1 above will make the LA/KC game in Mexico City quite interesting. I like this signing. $10M is guaranteed and the other $6M is in incentives. This offense will be difficult to stop. Veach isn’t afraid to make some moves. This decision may ultimately not work well but based upon the information e have going in, this is a smart decision. |

He has the ability to one of the best WRs in the NFL...It'll be interesting, now, that he isn't the sole receiving option and having Tyrod throwing to him. Reid can find ways to use him... |

I'm just curious how the Donkeys will attempt to cover especially after dumping Talib. With Tyreek and Watkins both causing a D to have to help over the top and Kelce requiring more than a LB to cover what are you gonna do? 6 DB's so Hunt can run apeshit or leave an lb in so Hunt can exploit on the catch and run? I like the matchup challenges that KC is gonna cause. 3 wideout sets with Tyreek, Watkins and Conley will be faster than any group of CB's in the league.

I'm saying it isn't a death sentence and if the Chiefs gave him this contract you can bet your ass he is passing a medical. I just don't understand the doom and gloom. I live in LA so I've actually watched Sammy play and he's a huge talent that has been hampered by an injury that takes time to heal. Just assuming the Chiefs are throwing 10m a year at him and he won't ever play is ignoring the facts.
