KC should be able to score on every possession if Sherman doesn’t play. He’s their only good corner.
This is gonna be a route. |

He's not good, unless you mean specifically in short zones. He cannot run with our WRs. Their backups are terrible, so it's cool if he doesn't play, but I'm not scared of him even the tiniest, weeniest little bit.

Yea Sherman isn't fast anymore, he'd probably make a solid safety because of his brains but playing CB he's going to be overmatched against speed.

Marquise Goodwin (quad) is a game-time decision for Week 3 against the Chiefs.
Goodwin was limited throughout the week. His participation in Friday's practice will go a long way in telling whether or not he'll be available for the Niners' dream matchup against the Chiefs. If Goodwin is declared inactive, George Kittle and Dante Pettis would be in line for similar run for the second consecutive week. |

So the 9ers play 79% single-high and 80% zone. It's gonna be a game for Kelce to eat. I bet they'll play so scared of Hill beating them deep, Hunt should have plenty of space, too.

I think teams didn't completely respect Mahomes through 2 weeks. I imagine they're going to start selling out to stop the pass, so I'm excited to see Hunt start to feast. This truly is a pick your poison offense.

This should be interesting
All I can say is that with the unbridled optimism on this board, if the Chiefs don't blow out the 9ers, or worse yet, lose, there is going to be a crisis of confidence amongst fans that we haven't seen for years. Small chance of it, but it could be interesting....

That means seams are open for business, and high-lo reads on the safety with yankee concepts. This is a Watkins/Hill game predominantly, as Kelce won’t have the middle of the field open. |

The 9ers defense basically runs the Chargers scheme without the secondary talent. Saleh is going to rely on his single high safety to play like Earl Thomas against everyone, and that’s a bad ****ing idea against the Chiefs.

Chiefs could score every possession anyway. Sherman can only cover 1 guy at a time and frankly he cant cover Hill by himself one on one.

Being confident that the Chiefs can beat the 49ers is a completely different thing than being crushed if they lose. There is nothing at this point, including losing to the 49ers at home, that is going to dampen the optimism around here. We have Patrick Mahomes. |
