The only compelling storyline in all of college basketball all year is whether or not someone can hit a bunch of lucky threes in the tournament and knock off Kentucky. It's 336 against 1.

I would love for somebody to give me one legit reason to watch basketball prior to March, but it's just boring as hell watching a handful of Freshmen who are only playing because they have to "attend" college for a couple of months before going to the league.

I'd love to care, but the sport is in a terrible place right now between the one and dones and the constant whistles. It's completely unwatchable. I just checked the box score for the Kansas Utah game. KU beat a top 15 team. Kansas made 18 baskets in 40 minutes. They made 21 free throws.

That's the marquee game played in Kansas City. What could be less interesting than watching college kids shoot free throws for two and a half hours?
I'd post something similar to this if I had a team that was as hapless and hopeless as yours.

Thank God that isn't the case. Enjoy the winter!

Based on this post you're think there wasn't a team in college football that ever lost.

Kansas SoS: 4 (Pomeroy) 10 (Sagarin). Best schedule in the top 30 teams. As Fran said Sat: "Self and Izzo will play anyone anywhere anytime"

Mizzou Sagarin: 204. Right behind Elon at 201 and Mo State at 195.

Sucks that the college football season is so short. I'm just getting warmed up to football.

It's a nice sideshow distraction for fall Saturdays but wow, can't these guys handle any more games?

In the end, you'll be watching Kentucky hoist the trophy just like Mizzou fans.

So all the smack talk during football season was pointless?

Football is entertaining. Basketball is about the tournament.

So if we are both watching Bammy hold up a trophy, it didn't matter if you had a better football season?

Actually the good teams get to play a game or two more

I wouldn't expect a Kansas fan to know that though

No. We didn't know who was going to win the title then...and we don't know now. There are only four teams left, and we still don't have a strong favorite to win it all. Conference play hadn't even begun in basketball. Over 300 teams are still in play...but Kentucky is more likely to win the basketball title than any of the four playoff teams are to win the championship in football.

It's just not at all compelling in any way when picking a champion out of 300+ teams is easier than picking one out of four teams.
