*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

They're going to need to play him this year because they're going to need to cut Alex next year.

Yup I've been saying this for a month.

3/4 games at home to end the season is very good for a young QB.

Eh, maybe. If we are in the thick of the playoff race, I can't imagine they'll sit Alex just to get Mahomes some looks. Definitely in mop up time, though.

Only if his jersey sales skyrocket this year, I'm thinking.

I'll wait 'til preseason to see how our guys look but I honestly don't have a great feeling about us making the playoffs this year. Too many distractions, a tough schedule. Great division.

I think this team will be somewhere near 6-4, and then those following few games will determine if they remain in the playoff hunt or not. If KC is sitting at 7-7, Mahomes needs to play.

Why do we punt so much...? How come it takes two quarters to get a touchdown drive going?

I can't remember an opening drive that the Chiefs took it for a touchdown last year.

The bottom five offensive talent thing is ridiculous.

Top 2 tight end. Hill is a top 2-3 most explosive player in the NFL. The other WRs are unproven but talented. The OL is top half, and Smith/Mahomes is a nice set up at QB.

Our offensive talent is somewhere between 12-20. Two elite playmakers is something most teams do not have.

Atlanta and Pittsburgh playoff game too, IIRC. The problem last year was not scoring on opening drives, it was scoring after them.

There is no way in hell Mahomes will be playing a snap this year in the regular season because Smitty will lead us to the playoffs again. Than the first play of the playoffs Smitty breaks his leg. Mahomes comes in and leads us to a Super Bowl ring!
