I know business is business and all that, but LJ has earned an extension and I hope he and his agents are smart enough to take it rather than play on the tag even if it doesn't reset the market.
Even if KC doesn't give you the Jaylon Johnson deal, there's something to be said for staying part of a situation you're really happy in for $16/17M per year. |

After watching the Franchise, I know we could very well use the draft picks....but it would be SWEET to bring him back and keep this train rolling. (And he prefers to be here also.)

The offers are nowhere near good enough for a player of Sneed's ability. Even a 1st round pick is not good enough IMHO, but the offers have been a lot worse than that. 3rd round or whatever is bullshit.

NFLN said a bit ago that there is real interest in Sneed. They seemed to think the compensation is a FIRST round pick.
Said that the deal is complicated, didnt specify why but that it could take a while to complete. Felt it could be another week or so to get done. |

Has the 3rd round offer been reported by a reputable source? I have heard national reporters saying it's possible to get a first.

If a 1st round pick is involved in the trade, it'll probably be a 2025 1st round pick IMO

It is complicated. Pick compensation, salary compensation, Sneed passing a physical... Those things don't happen overnight.
If it is a 1st we're talking about then it gets real complicated in terms of pick compensation because some teams that are interested pick pretty high. Not to mention Veach's entire focus cannot be on just this one thing right now. They said a week ago that it could take a week or two into FA for this thing to happen. I think we have to realize the cost of doing business on this thing is we're going to lose out on a couple of the higher profile FAs in the name of draft assets. Things are going to slow way down over the next couple of days. We'll get guys yet. FA lasts a while. If we can get one of the last couple of good WRs, I'll feel pretty okay. Not too many OTs out there really tickle my fancy that won't be there in a week. |

I’m thinking that giving up a 2nd rounder and keeping Sneed is the best path for us. History beckons us. A 3peat would be so cool and will outlive us all. Let’s go for it. |

I would prefer every year but I could settle on every other year if it had to be.
