*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****
IT ****ING HAPPENED
OP UPDATE: Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! Last edited by Dante84; 05-17-2017 at 09:40 AM.. |

Man, I'm feeling lot of quiet team hype on Smith-Marsette.
People thought Justin Watson was just an offseason camp body who would basically be relegated to special teams if he made the team until we started hearing some buzz out of the offseason practices with Mahomes. I'm getting the same vibe from Smith-Marsette. |

And as an Iowa homer I've long been in ISM fan. Kid has always had talent. Just jack shit at QB. |

If that's a full-size practice field, I think they're right.
I believe behind him you see the EZ and 10 yard line. Then two more lines and he releases from the 2nd, so that's the 20. Smith-Marsette catches it 5 yards away from the opposite EZ. That's 75 yards on a full length field, though it may just be a shorter field. |

He played in the last few games last season. Not sure if he was on the PS roster.
Feels like maybe he got elevated to a STs role when we lost the Dave Toub Memorial STs Player on waivers. Lammons, I believe. EDIT: Looks like he started the year with the Bears and was maybe a waiver claim? Didn't remember that. |

I was hoping they had brought him in to take over KR duties. I'm still holding out hope he can do that and end up at the bottom of the WR roster somehow.

Palmer and Joe have a lot in common. They both played on college teams that were loaded and they both have no rings.

He had a terrible 4th quarter fumble for the Bears last season - trying to get extra yards instead of going out of bounds on a late drive to tie the game - and they cut him after that. He looks reasonably explosive from his Viking highlights. |
