*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I’m pretty sure he took several shots at Reid.

We hear more from McCoy though because of the podcasts.

If he maintains the durability and longevity of Brady he will destroy every record Brady set outside of maybe SB Rings. Brady's raw numbers are a product of him being always healthy (outside the year he lost due to the Pollard hit) and he played forever.

It’s hard to believe that Montana, Brady, & Mahomes are the only 3 guys who have won 2 regular season MVP’s and 2 Super Bowl MVP’s. You would have thought some of the other great players would have done it.

All true, but Mahomes may not have to play nearly as long as Brady to accumulate similar career numbers. Of course I don't expect him to win 7 rings, but I won't be the one to bet against him either. I'd guess the biggest hurdle of his career will be the day Reid decides to hang it up.

If you take his averages (minus his first year)...then he would average:

38 TDs
10 INTs
4800 yards.

If he plays until he's 35 that would put him at:

62641 yards
496 TDs
129 INTs

That's 8th all time in yards and 5th all time in TDs.

To pass Brady for yards and TDs, he would have to play until he was 42.

A non-genius QB would panic in that situation.
