At least 'unprecedented' isn't that far out of reach in some cases, and even accurate.... hoarding toilet paper at an unprecedented rate, unprecedented shutdown/mask wearing/etc...... 1 in every 400 New Yorkers dying within a few months seems pretty unprecedented for the city.

And, like most of America at this point, people didn't want to follow what they were being told/asked to do. There is no avoidance of CA, the reason people have talked about other states is because people from those states regularly post in the thread. But takes like that are just proof that some people can only see this as a media/political issue, rather than a health issue. Last edited by sedated; 06-25-2020 at 08:07 PM.. |

AZ looking to activate FEMA. ICU bed capacity to be reached in a few days. Major hospitals here setting up beds for non COVID patients in hallways and lobbies.
Deaths will rise when care is poor too. |

You think this has anything to do with the surge going on in Mexico? I mean there is a lot of natural traffic between AZ, TX, CA and Mexico. Kind of a coinkydink that Mexico is apparently getting a bad surge and now our border states are getting it as well. It could be just that too, a coinkydink.

We've been pretty lucky here. Things are opening up a lot and I want to say we are as close to normal as we have been but we aren't seeing the surge. Yet. We had a lot of protests going on as well and still do. |
