I totally agree. The O line held them off long enough for Mahomes to step up into the open pocket and hit Kelce right over his shoulder. HOF throw.

Just insane.
They showed the camera behind Mahomes as a quali-POV shot on that ball to Kelce and son of a bitch that was an impossible throw. I remember thinking to myself there is 0% chance I'd ever throw that ball ever, there is just no space, particularly when he had to pull the trigger.

****ing incredible.

30 air yards and he hit him in the hands on the run. The kind of shit I never believed I would see a Chiefs QB do and he does it regularly.

The throws he makes are always so impressive when you see them from a field level view and see what he's seeing.

Hell, in real time, I noted to my son, "He wasn't open. It doesn't matter."

I honestly think that’s what it comes down to for Mahomes. Last season he got so in his head that he lost the swagger that would allow him to make that throw. He’d see the opportunity, hesitate, and then eventually throw it into the ground.

Today there was no hesitation. I truly believe he has a lot of short term memory and mental momentum is a real thing for him.

Damn good thing he has infinite confidence in his ability 99% of the time.
