I wonder how much of this is the compensation teams would have to give KC, versus the compensation they'll have to give LJ on a new deal.
It's entirely possible LJ is asking for a ****ing ridiculous deal teams aren't willing to make. The more they pay him, the less we get in draft capital in return. |

Totally get it...#61 for a 27-yr old CB that locked down the best of the best last year? Yes please. Maybe there is a better deal still in the works, but to me, it seems like an incongruous move for a franchise that is beyond desperate to play in a super bowl and plays "no-holds-barred" on the field.

Well that can be taken a lot of different ways.
Are the offers just not very good and they're trying to see if an extension can be done? Are there a few offers that are very solid and they are just trying to decide what's best? |

I think the mystery team is Carolina. They took Bootle and Lamar Jackson, both CBs who were on our training camp roster last year.
They have a massive need at CB now. They hold picks 33, 39, 65, and 100. There's a deal to be made there that also gets Sneed paid. I'd take 33 or 39 straight up. |

Fellas, if you get a good return, you don't HAVE to spend the money. You can use it to extend guys or roll it over for next season (afterall, you just made PM's hit that much bigger in 2025). If the Chiefs have a deal to their liking on the table, I'd hope they aren't out there making sure they can spend the 'found' Sneed money before they pull the trigger. Make the deal. Spend the money wisely and if the opportunity presents itself. They should be different reviews entirely. |

I think playing on the tag is the least desirable option. But if your options are 1) extend Sneed for $19M per year or 2) trade him for a '25 2nd + '24 4th, what would you do? In that scenario, I'd like to see an offer on a 3-year, $50M-ish deal. |

You can give him a 4 year deal you can get out of by the time McDuffie needs to be paid. Reid is off the books next year in the secondary and the cap is only going to keep rising. The deal we give him probably won't even look that steep by the time the 2025 offseason rolls around, especially if we're coming off a third straight world title. |

I'd guess Veach isn't getting his asking price. Why trade him for peanuts when you can just keep him and go to FA/Draft plan B? |
