Yes, people not following mitigation efforts leads to new infections. This bug doesn't have an agenda. It just wants to replicate. It doesn't give a shit about politics. You have both. Have at it.

This thing will spread like wildfire and will run rampant until it is mitigated. A lot of folks seem to welcome this. |

People can panic all they want, or laugh at the panicky people all they want... but, it's not like people are being asked to take a bicycle to work everyday to save the ozone layer. Mask. Soap. 6'. If it works, the world won't shutdown again... and if it ends up not making a difference, we're shutting down anyway and you'll have worn a mask and practiced better hygiene for a few months. |

Gov Abbott says they are going to have around 5k new cases today.
The one positive Texas has is that it is a big freaking state and people are somewhat spread out except in the large cities. |

That and our Medical Facilities are among the best in the world. Our death rate/Death Per Capita is also extremely low when compared to other places with the outbreak.

I am more curious as to the status of the cases, no symptoms, mild symptoms, etc. And of course do they translate into deaths? At this point they are not and lets hope it stays that way. |

Worse of all would be trying to drive a narrative based on a made up or over exaggerated basis for the narrative. |
