Ever had a Black Manhattan? I had one for the first time a couple weeks ago. Traditionally they use averna instead of vermouth and use orange bitters. But the place I went to used both vermouth and averna as well as orange and angostura bitters. Also, I use antica instead of cheap vermouth. And always up. None of that "on the rocks" shit. |

And I need to up my vermouth game. I use the cheaper stuff and I realize I am bastardizing the drink. I always add both orange and angostura bitter to mine. I usually have mine straight up but will occasionally pour over an ice sphere. The rocks shit just waters it down too quick. |

Sorry for ur loss thats crazy. Almost assuredly had a comorbidity but you never know. Buddy of mine had it from start to finish and had zero symptoms. Perhaps it depends on other Coronaviruses one was exposed to in their youth.

And don't be afraid to switch up your whisky. I know standard is to use rye but Elijah Craig and Maker's 46 makes some pretty sweet Manhattys! |

Got denied entrance to Circle K last night for not wearing a mask. I totally forgot.
I've since learned that our ordinance comes with an exemption for people whose religious beliefs prevent them from wearing a face covering. So I guess one could just say that and be let right on in. |
