They (surgeon group) had a complete collapse of elective surgery, saw over 50% of the nurses getting laid off and did some digging. His exact words were- "this thing is complete BS" over 1/2 of the hospital was empty. |

Did you read it? It states that hospitals get more $$$ for vented COVID patients.......
Here is the deal as explained to me by my friend (fictional according to Stump) Hospitals were forced into shit hit the fan mode. Hospitals saw a way to make up $$$ with COVID and took advantage of it. My take away- Covid is bad for some but is being overblown. Shutting down elective surgery hit a bottom line and a biz (hosptital) does what it needs (hand outs) to survive. No I did not read it. I stopped at fact check. I can give you a myriad of things they have purposely misrepresented. |

Down to about 800 deaths or less a day now with a drug available to trim a 1/3 off that. Good news!

If there is a narrative, and it’s political in nature, who is putting their money on a mid September push to lockdown again?

I don't think there's enough credit being given to how big of a deal dexamethasone might be. I haven't been able to find the study yet, (I'm not sure it has been released) - but I'm looking forward to reading it.

We need to stop making this political.
The truth is. Did we overcompensate for this? I don't think so. It happened in cold and flu season and we saved many lives. Now during the summer is this a massive deal? It depends. We are seeing 20 to 30k a day new cases. How much risk are we willing to accept? To me, now that we know an idea about CFR below 60. The key is to protect our elderly population. You are still ar risk being younger. But do not spread to grandpa. I was vehemently against my gmas 82ndh bday party. Shes old. Terrible idea. My mom is 54. Who gives much of a shit. Understand though that this will be back with a vengeance in the fall. Cold and Flu season is real. After Sept 1, if you want rhe Chiefs to continue playing football wear a N95 mask I find them quite comfortable and dont notice the breathe blowing back in my face as much. Covid19 is not a hoax. But it is not a massive grim reaper to all either. Be smart. Understand this will flare up later in the year. |
