Not really. None of the WR's are getting it done like they need to be. The guys expected to step up, have not. And one of those WR's was a 2nd rd pick last year, and he seems to be lost. Its also now going on week 6. I think this is what is happening this year.

Sure, having a D that can get stops helps but the NFL is still biased towards scoring especially late in games.

It's hilarious that people will look at last year and say it can't be duplicated, and the Chiefs were very fortunate, but you fail to apply the same logic to having an all-time great offense and a bad defense.

Even with our all-time great offense we were VERY close to having zero SBs.

Meanwhile, we're in year 2 of the post Tyreek era with 1, and we're sitting at 4-1 right now while our young WRs are going through growing pains.

Yet there are so many that still insist we're doing it totally wrong.

It's amusing.

I'd sort of lump Moore, Rice, and JJSS into the same category of WR though: reliable short to intermediate route runners. Safe picks. Hardman and MVS have the speed trait, but neither are explosive playmakers. Toney, has flashed in a few instances, but has yet to prove he can put together a season. We took our big swing on CEH, unfortunately.

We're just not homerun hitters anymore, not sure any of our skill guys really scare defenders. Hope we hit on a couple of guys in the upcoming drafts.

JuJu had great chemistry with Mahomes. Patrick trusted him. Trust & chemistry are kind of priceless assets between a QB & receiver. We’ll have to see if some of the guys on the roster can develop that type of connection with the QB. There has been some positive stuff from Rice.

I've said it before, it's not a coincidence that the majority of the people crying about WRs non-stop were the same people that were very unhappy about the Tyreek trade.

They did the same shit last year, but the Toney trade kind of calmed everybody down and we won a SB.

I'm serious when I say that this is a damn good idea.

The kid can contribute here. Meaningfully. He's not going to be any dumber than Moore is and he's had a TON more critical plays than Moore had.

Even if he does nothing more than take the gadget shit away from Moore and put it in the hands of someone with real explosion, that's worthwhile.

The Chiefs should get that done. He's ALWAYS been worth more to us than anywhere else and I said that when I was hoping he'd sign a 'make-good' deal with us. He'd have to be elated to be back here.

This is a deal we should make. A last day pick or pick swap should get it done. The only thing I could see that could prevent it is a team like Buffalo or Miami trumping our bit as a defensive measure. And even THAT would have long-term value to us if we can price enforce the deal.
