Cases are up both in raw numbers and percent positive cases in many areas (14 states had their highest levels last week). Areas like Texas and Arizona are at their highest levels of hospitalization yet. The decline of the epidemic in NY/NJ has blurred the increased caseload, especially in the South.

Testing really has little to do with Arizona having a huge hospital increase.

New cases identified by more testing is a different issue than increased/max COVID hospitalizations. One matters way more than the other. I told you this a few days ago. Stop focusing solely on new case numbers, especially in AZ where it took them months to roll out proper testing in large quantities.

This is where I think we ****ed up. We built all these excess beds and areas and such, didn't use them cause we locked down and the wave didn't hit the same time everywhere it did in NY. So now we moved past it and it's gonna crest. Just not smart planning. |

We have seen a spike in cases locally as well but we are testing more and haven't seen hardly any increase in hospitalization so far. |

The damn WHO just continues to **** things up with their messaging.
True asymptomatic spread is likely very rare. But true asymptomatic pts is not the same as presymptomatic. |

AZ has done little correctly in stopping a spike.
