That A&M guy fell hard onto the floor. Always makes me wince when that happens.

Was definitely rooting for A&M. Great effort to get the game to OT. Too bad they couldn't finish.

Houston tried everything in their power to lose that game. They got lucky that Texas just went and took wild shots when not needed.

That was always gonna be the danger for Houston in the tournament. Running into a ref crew that would actually call all the fouls they make.
They survived it though and that’s all that matters. |

To be fair they missed something like 16 of them.
FFS, they said A&M got 55% of their offensive misses. That's horrific DREB by Houston. Last edited by Buehler445; 03-24-2024 at 10:41 PM.. |

Honestly one of the most impressive "find a way to wins" I've ever seen. After the unreal stretch by A&M to get it tied, I thought Houston was done. To withstand losing 4/5 starters after almost losing in historic fashion was amazing. This is one of those wins that a team will use to go on and win the tourney when it looked like they were dead to rights.

In the 2nd half, Texas A&M just ran up the court as fast as possible and drove to the basket out of control so often and Houston just kept fouling them 20-25 ft from the basket. I thought Houston was going to run out of players.
It was so incredibly hard to watch. Foul after foul after foul after foul after foul. Then the refs kept going to the replay table after every play. Felt like it took 10 hours to finish 10 minutes. |
