Brady has 7 SBs and beat Mahomes head to head. It's such a big disparity I cannot even argue that Brady is not the king but Mahomes has a chance. He just has to do it before hes 35. If he gets even 5 I think there will be an argument for Mahomss over Brady.

Montana is the reason I became a Chiefs fan. He was the greatest of all time when he retired. Brady’s resume is ridiculous. Hard to debate he’s not on top. but Mahomes will surpass him even if he doesn’t get to Brady’s crazy Super Bowl win number. I honestly believe that Mahomes is 4-5 seasons away from being the greatest football player ever.

Hootie was at least spot on in this thread about this. Manning getting his neck broken took Indy from SB contenders to the number 1 pick. He also was gifted the Superfarce 50 season as a retirement gift and Denver has been a complete dumpster fire since. That said the real answer to this thread is Montana is better.

Tom brady's playoff record is littered with these sort of stats: @Pitt 12-18 115 yards...
Joe Montana wasn't ever asked to be a pedestrian. Walsh put Montana through the ringer and he was the focus point of that offense from day one yet he still racked up four super bowls and dominated in an era that was tilted towards the defense. |

He went to the Pro Bowl twice and was All Pro once.
He's a vastly underrated guy who's career was a lot greater than one catch, but he gets lost in the Montana legend because of Jerry Rice. In 1982 he had 60 catches and 913 yards. IN 9 GAMES |

I mean, SF was my NFC team back then, so I remember watching Dwight. He was decent, even good at times, but he wasn't great. He averaged 3.8 catches/gm and 50 yds/gm for his career. |

I'd say he was borderline elite for a 4-5 year stretch. He did his best work without Jerry Rice.
