Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was detained by police today entering the stadium for a driving violation, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. But Rosenhaus said Hill will play today.

They had all the information they needed especially after he gave his license. When tyreek had his window cracked down he was in compliance unless he were to decide to roll the window up again. From there the officer proactively, not reactively, decided to escalate. Even if he was right to ask him to get out of the car which I'm not saying is totally unreasonable , the officer is setting everything after that in motion.

If any of that escalation was even a little bit unnecessary and it led to injury or showing up to that game, he is "entitled" to damages that are way beyond what you or I are entitled to. Not to mention the millions in damages to the team which is a vital part of the community. So yeah, the damage from him missing even a minute gives him entitlement

What Nirvana posted isn't even close to being true, but people are entitled to their opinion. Hill is much more of a danger. I mean is this the part where we bring up Rashee Rice and speeding on the highway? Did you not see the results?

Go look at video's of police being shot during traffic stops and maybe you'll start to under stand the risks. It's not about a proportional response. It's not a la-de-da situation. It's not a discussion. It's a you will comply, or you will face the consequences. If you feel your rights have been violated, argue it in a court of law. What's crazy is the people that will go out of their way to excuse bad citizenship behavior by someone who plays pro football.

If this were Morgan Wallen on his way to the concert and he got hurt, and arrowhead had to refund tens of thousands of tickets, you think that doesn't matter?

Pay close attention to what tyreek is capable of if he decides to take legal action. See if the police will take lightly how the dolphins and the city respond. See how the fans and Vegas would respond if something went wrong. Of course it matters. He is not an ordinary person going to his job. It doesn't matter. Concerts get cancelled all the time, and if "insert whoever you would like" did what Hill did then it's on them. Of course the public and city are going to be upset. It's not really in the officer purview to weigh in economic costs to a large city. Your expectations are way off, but this is hypothetical. Further, the game would have kicked off on time with or without Hill, and in the game, he played very well. So he wasn't hurt.

Guilty. I usually go the other way on these things but, reek was antagonizing the officers and I felt they were professional based on the clip. The badge means something and no matter who you are or the color of your skin you need to follow basic instructions and shut your mouth when dealing with the police. Tyreek knows all too well how dangerous an NFL game is not just for the players but drunk fans and even coaches. He definitely knows how bad for the brand a player crashing into people or cars or even speeding is.
Just like illegal formations, this shit is illegal in a much more important arena.

One of the biggest problems with policing in the United States is the screening process. Cops who get upset when citizens don't follow instructions, to the point of putting them in handcuffs, should never have been police officers to begin with.

Because they play in Miami, I doubt that Hill or Campbell pursue legal action, but I wish they would, especially Campbell.

I also feel like any law enforcement official that threatens someone recording their actions should be fired. It is absolutely legal to film police officers doing their job, and when an officer threatens to confiscate the camera, or arrest or handcuff the person recording, it should be a violation of the law, or at the very, very least, against department policy and worthy of termination.

Being a police officer doesn't even make the top 20 in most dangerous jobs in America. Being a good cop doesn't mean you can stomp on the rights of citizens out of fear.

That officer shouldnt have a badge and is a danger to the community he is suppose to be serving. There was 0 provocation to take him to the ground and arrest him. Rolling up a window does not give the cops the right to arrest him.

The cop has already been put on administrative leave and if Tyreek pursues it will get paid and have him fired. Cops are public employees and should be held to the highest standard because of the power they hold.

Not given a pass because the guy in a car that cost more than my house made them scared by rolling up his window. Any one with common sense would have known that Tyreek Hill was not a threat.
