I'll be completely honest, it takes courage for Luck to do what he did.
This is his rap sheet for his career: Torn cartilage in 2 ribs Partially torn abdomen Lacerated kidney that left him peeing blood Multiple concussions Torn labrum in his throwing shoulder Calf/ankle issue (which many think is a precursor to a torn achilles) Alternatively, Andrew could have had "Day to Day" status through the 2019 season and avoided the press and the fans as everyone was being told cryptically that he could play every day. He then could have blown an achilles his first game back, and missed NEXT year too (2020), all the while taking premiere money from the organization. Imagine if he then was day to day to start 2021 too.. He's leaving four years of money on the table. That takes guts. We would have been shocked if Eric Berry retired in last year's preseason, but it likely would have made his lasting memory with the org so much better. Props to Andrew for making a really difficult decision, having that decision leak, and then walking out of his last home game holding his head up to a shower of boos. I agree. If I was luck I would so retire and just chill for the rest of my life. It's not worth permanent disfigurement.

I wonder if Foles would’ve went to Indy had this happened before he was a FA. His old coach. Makes sense.

The dude was in a no-win situation. This was, as hard as it was, actually was the best move for Indy moving forward. |

Indy had the $ and the o-line and the coach and a decent-enough defense in place. Had Fuzzy Wuzzy made this decision after the playoff loss, they might well have made a play at Foles ... and he might have been very interested. FAX |
