I thought he looked like much more of a real WR in our offense last year before getting hurt.

I'm not sure why people wouldn't want him back for whatever's left of that cheap 1yr deal. He gives us speed and explosiveness that we're not exactly overflowing with.

I'm always the dumbass wanting these big trades and am told it, yet here everyone else is wanting to trade for explosive big time WR's at the deadline.

Hardman would be a nice pickup.

Guys.....I get it. I would love to have it all, talent everywhere etc.

But the league is set up with a salary cap and it's meant to be this way. Once he signed his deal.......yeah, he's gonna have to play to it and alot of it is gonna be on his shoulders. That's the way it is.
Not everyone feels like it’s necessary to have a top 5 defense. Of course it’s nice to have and of course you don’t want a bad defense. But there’s a reason people feel deeply uncomfortable with how we’re winning even though this is arguably been the best defense, running game and OL we’ve ever had in the mahomes era.

Mahomes doesn’t need a top 5 defense. He can have a very good defense and I’d rather he carry the defense than carry an offense that lacks playmakers.

my only thing with picking up a wideout, barring injury, we'd have lose one of the guys we have - and before you say Skyy, he isn't going anywhere - we aren't keeping 8 wideouts, are we?

I think we stand pat and give the kids more run as the season moves on.

Yeah. It's because we as Chiefs fans have become insufferably spoiled little ****s. By most metrics available we're STILL one of the top offenses in the league, now with an above average defensive unit to complement, and folks are STILL whining that it's not good enough. Jesus ****ing Christ, people, just relax a bit.

How people feel is irrelevant. Winning like we have been this year is no different than winning shootouts where whoever gets the ball last wins.

Exactly, as if winning/losing like the Pats AFCCG and the 13 sec game against Buffalo is any different.

Side note: you know you're in the golden era of Chiefs football when all people can really complain about is how we're winning

I think Chiefs fans would rather our defense to be middling and our offense to be dropping atomic bombs rather than having a solid offense and a top-10 defense. It probably just feels more fun to watch an elite Mahomes led offense bulldoze through everything in its path.

Chiefs fans were so used to toxicity and dysfunction for decades. It's like a kid from a toxic unhealthy family going over to a hang out at a kids house that has a normal healthy family and thinking "wtf is this shit? These people are boring. They suck."

Gonna be wild when my kids are on the opposite end of that when Mahomes retires bc they've seen nothing but this era of Chiefs football

I'll take the "boring" balance personally.

It's nice to know our defense can gets stops at the end of close games.

I like MVS but he's as good as gone next year. We can't pay $14 million to a guy doing as little as he does.

At that point just try to bring Mecole back.

Perhaps he's been humbled, and is ready to work. My problem with Hardman is that he didn't seem to be doing the mental work, and skipping Mahomes camp while telling interviewers he could do all of the Tyreek stuff just didn't sit well with me. Apparently Veach and Andy thought the same.

This is 2023. Offense wins championships. I'm not sure if we can score enough vs the Fins, 49ers, Eagles and Bills. Its easier for a good defense to shut down a bad offense. A good offense is still gonna score.
