thats a Self team trait. Get beat by the scrappy team, play down to an inferior teams talent.

They “usually” play to their talent level against peer teams or better teams.

I’ve always thought that was weird. Wilt against inferior teams and play strong against top teir teams.

I really hope this is the team to do it. I think overall the last two teams we’ve had have been better. This team is the most unlikely to do it considering the last two teams and the players we’ve had, but this year’s team has continued to surprise me. Never would’ve thought they’d be in this position at the beginning of the year. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they pull it off. Lock in and let’s beat Duke’s ass.

they had a far superior talented team last year. Home court advantage all the way to the final 4 and underperformed to eventually blow that great chance.

This may or may not be the least talented team in the Self era. It’s definitely the least talented team in recent years. I’d bet most fans didn’t think they’d make the elite eight. Maybe they can surprise everyone and beat Duke?

I literally cannot think of a worse match up for this team than Duke.

Two great low post players.
Great rebounding team.
Top 25 in 3PT FG defense.
We've sucked ****ing ass against zones this year.
Peaking at the right time. Been a defensive juggernaut ever since theyve played zone.

If we win this game, ohhhh boy will I be pumped up. If we don't go two bigs, that means that SVI or VICK has to guard MARVIN ****ING BAGLEY. JFC

I'm sure Self has a plan. The best one he can anyway with what he has to work with this year. Executing that plan...... going to need a lot go our way.
