Maybe I'm misreading...

SOS from the prior year sets the schedule for a couple of games, but for playoffs - would assume he's talking about 2018 season as an example.

Take the Jags... strong finish propped up a SOS before week 1 that looks completely different now.

Division standings from the prior year determine SOS for the current season. Let’s look at a hypothetical:

The Broncos win a weak AFC West in 2020 with a 9-7 record. The Colts finish last in a tough AFC South with an 8-8 record. One team plays all of the division winners the next year while the other plays the last place teams. The Broncos play the Steelers and Patriots for example, while the Colts play the Browns and Bills. If the Broncos and Colts finish tied in 2020, the Broncos go to the playoffs as the higher seed by default, regardless of the actual outcome of those previously mentioned games, simply because they had a better SOS predetermined by the season before.

I realize said scenario might be rare but letting it happen at all would be wrong.

Got cut from Bills, sounds like a promising prospect.

If anybody can coach up an underachieving quarterback, it's Vance Joseph and Elway.

Oh, wow. I managed to keep a straight face the entire time I typed that.

Looks like this will be the 3rd year in a row that Horseface has punted when it comes to the QB situation on his team.

You can't keep hiding behind Trevor Semens and Case Keenums forever, John. An HGH-riddled future HOFer isn't available, and even if there was one of those guys, he certainly wouldn't look twice at your little shithole empire of chaos that's been brewing up in the mountains since 2016.

Maybe if you overpay Teddy Bridgewater or overdraft Drew Lock, you'll get **** ass lucky.

Denver still has a lot to prove and they're far from seriously competing, but damn - Lindsay is a beast.

Courtland Sutton is going to be a stud if they can get someone to throw to him.
