*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I suppose that's better than nothing, or what I was describing after peeking his IG feed.

Still...

Why not be with your QB and bond with your teammates? Don't want to? Not invited? It's one of the two.

I think it’s pointless speculation, and you’re probably making a big deal out of absolutely nothing.

Hardman played well down the stretch and finally found his groove. There’s no reason to bash him in the offseason unless you’re looking for reasons to, which you clearly are.

How often did Tyreek work out with Pat in the offseason?

Yeah, he frustrates me, I’ll admit it freely. Would love for him to break out and be more than a slightly better DeAnthony Thomas. I think he has the talent, I don’t think he has the brain. Skill vs Will or whatever.

And I agree, I am speculating. I think it’s strange that he’s never out with his teammates, he strikes me as an outsider a little bit.

As for Pat and Tyreek, I remember a handful of workout vids together from the summer before they won the Super Bowl. Dieter, Kelce, Tyreek, Pat and DRob were together a fair amount.

He is what he is at this point. Highly doubtful there will be some breakout season.

I think this year will be interesting with him for 3 reasons:

- We found a little niche for him later last season where he was having success
- He’s the only remaining WR that (hopefully?) knows the playbook and how Pat likes things done.
- it’s a contract year for him

Again, I’m rooting for him to succeed while not expecting anything special.

Man I love his throwing motion.

So damn efficient and delivered with so much authority still. That just looks letter perfect to me.

I think he gets a little whacky with it sometimes because he can. But when he's trying to stay 'clean' with his mechanics, I just don't see anyone better. That's how you'd draw it up in a lab, IMO.

At times he gets too cute with throws like doing a "fade away" against the Ravens jumping where all he had to do is plant his feet and pass it normally for a wide open Kelce in the middle of the field.

Then you hear Collinsworth and Orlovsky saying he use to make those throws in his sleep, and it isn't that at all. Patrick was taking the pass for granted as if he were messing around in practice.
