Kadarious Toney live on Instagram saying Chiefs are lying about his injury

This seems too stupid to not be real.

Unless they want to give him one more shot with a full TC and see what he can do, I guess. He would be a pretty decent H-Back and Reid does love his gimmicks from time to time.

He went live and told the world the Chiefs were faking his injury and put the team in jeopardy of losing a draft pick. Then he tried to lie that he was "hacked". Again. What happened when Kareem Hunt lied to the team?

He's also solely responsible for at least one loss.

I do not think he plays another snap for the two time world champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Mecole can do everything Toney can

Calling out the Chiefs as liars huh?

That seems like the equivalent of a random poster threatening to sue CP.

We all know how that works out.

GTFO.

Or maybe they can find someone out there willing to give us like a 2025 7th rounder - largely to take his salary off of our hands.
I buy in that the Chiefs for some reason did not want him around. Due to the CBA not allowing them to actually just tell him to saty away reported he was hurt, Which he called them out on, Think his attitude is such that the team will try to trade him but a good chance that if that does not happen they move on from him before he is to reprot.

Not a bad idea. See if he can make something pop working more out of the backfield.

His drops will be less likely to lead to INTs if he’s working in the flats or 1-on-1 with LBs.

Hardman could only muster a market for the Jets which was a $1.9 million cap hit. Then he never even played for the Jets.

His market is astoundingly bad. And you figure he would want to come back bc we actually value him here.

Seems like an easy call here. Cheap contract for a guy who can replace Toney, is only 25 and is a guy Mahomes has a lot of experience with.

Yeah, at this point I'm good with keeping Hardman around in a D-Rob kind of role. We can't rely on him to be a full-time guy on the field, but he has enough talent to be a difference maker in spot work.

How are they going to handle the WR room?

I assume James is gone. Probably Hardman too unless he accepts a really cheap deal. It's kind of hard to see them giving up on Moore this soon, even though they probably should. And I don't know what the hell's going on with Toney behind the scenes. If he's not going to be a cancer, I'd bring him back.

Clean house outside of Rice.

Maybe MVS and/or Watson end up back on the roster at veteran minimum contracts… but the initial approach should be a total teardown besides Rice.

Rice and Watson are locks to return
MVS will be released
Ross, Moore and Toney probably, will come to camp but have to earn their spots.
Richie James is probably gone, Hardman probably is too unless he agrees to a nothing deal then he goes into that make the team group.

There will be a 1st 3 round draft pick and a FA signing that isn't a scrub that take up 2 spots and then you'll have more young guys, UDFA's late draft pick, and likely some cheap FA signing and they'll battle it.

Hardman had a major injury that threatened to affect his greatest asset, his speed. He would have found a better deal if not for that.

Jets signing Aaron Rodgers doomed Hardman with the Jets, because Aaron has his "guys" and he made the Jets sign them.

Hardman healthy and training all off season and he may regain his top end speed, so I would like to see him on 2024 team.

I am for keeping KT19. the story of his season, is meniscus injury, no training camp, comes back too early, and he is not great on crossing routes with low trajectory throws.

Maybe offensive braintrust and Mahomes can give KT19 assignments that let him use his strengths.

I think that missing training camp is what sunk Toneys entire season.

It seemed like he waited until camp to have some basic cleanup surgery (someone can fill in what it was and when it went down)

that minor surgery allowed him to sit most of if not all of camp.

You can't take the elevator to the top, you gotta take the stairs. Skipping training camp really hurt the chemistry and overall readiness and it was on full display the first game vs the lions where Toney had more drops than I can ever remember a player having.

After that he was behind the 8 ball all season. Lining up offsides and hella drops. I think a full training camp fixes that but that is also up to the player. If he comes back and grinds, puts in teh work, full training camp and works on getting better at his craft more than he works on music videos and other hobbies he might end up being a huge asset.

taking short cuts to the top won't work, gotta take the stairs and grind

Yeah, I remember being a little annoyed when hearing about how little he signed with the Jets for. Then we found out from Hardman that his agent never even received an offer from KC so it seems we were set on moving on from him regardless.

It will be interesting to see if his return has changed any minds in upper management.

I also wonder if he won’t enjoy a better market after making two clutch plays in the Super Bowl.
