Absolutely. It worked out. Kentucky is a team you don't foul. They can't hit a 3 to save their life. But Creighton is absolutely a team you foul. They had a few chances at the 3 to 4 second mark to just wrap up and get a foul and obviously Self didn't call for it. He's old school in that regard. Fouling or not fouling depends on the team you are playing, but the trend is more 3point shooting oriented teams so almost never wrong to foul one of those offensive skilled shooting squads.

Really glad McCormack was out there making sure he wasn't in the way for everyone else to get rebounds.

I would be surprised if McCormack wingspan is much longer than Enaruna or Wilson's. He's also a slow jumper. I imagine his max vert is actually pretty good, but he's not a quick jumper like Doke was. McCormack definitely doesn't get enough out of his athletic ability with the way he plays, especially having an above-average frame for a big man.

That's an especially good thing to try when your only big is an absolutely terrible defender.

This year's slogan should be "Go small. Shoot 40 threes a game. Play better defense."

Did I hate Grimes? I don't recall that.

No such list is also complete without Perry (who, while a good player, could have been so much better if he wasn't soft).

I may be mistaken. Maybe the Grimes hate was someone else.

I can only imagine watching Vick and McCormack attempt to run a pick and roll.

I'm rarely too critical about freshmen so I doubt that was me. Grimes sucked, though, for sure.

So KSU basketball pulled a KU football move, but stepped it up a notch. How dare they? How can they have actually had the worst loss in the state this year?

Fort Hayes was 0-3 before that too. Yikes. Gonna be a long year for the Catheads.
