And I’ll say again that you don’t trade big valuable pieces when you’re in a contention cycle. They could have gotten a ton for Gordon in 2012. Or Shields after 2013. Or Hosmer, Cain, Moustakas, Ventura, Perez, Duffy, Davis, Herrera after 2015. I want them to trade Moustakas, too, but it also balances against the return. If the return is organizational filler, I have no problem keeping him. I don’t think they’re in that type of market for him right now, but the return has to be something that at least has a chance to help you down the road. I understand your fears. I think we’ll see at least one of Merrifield/Duffy moved. But time will tell. |

Major buzz on Twitter about the Royals and Brewers and Moose. If we got Brett Phillips out of it I would be ecstatic.

However, the Brewers have also been in talks with the Orioles about either Gausman or their 2B (can't remember his name), so it's possible it's involved with that trade as well. I hope it's Moose though, reunite him with Cain. |

You got me.
Seriously though, Dayton would win the trade deadline with that move. That would probably be the first move of this deadline where I feel like the team giving up the veteran actually won the trade. I guess the Padres maybe, but they gave up about 8 years of quality relief pitching to get the Indians best prospect. It'd be fun to see Moose and Cain back together, although I still think it's a questionable move for the Brewers. Shaw at 2B? Doesn't seem like a good idea. Phillips is a legit ML outfielder with an absolute rocket launcher on his right shoulder. Last edited by tk13; 07-27-2018 at 08:57 PM.. |

You're a fan of the Royals.
You aren't going to get year after year of competitive baseball. Some dumb mother****ers in this thread. |
