****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

But this isn’t a fair assessment on the receiving corps, IMO. We lost what would have been a 1,000 yard receiver in Juju and the best gadget receiver in Mecole Hardman. We essentially replaced them with two rookies in Rice and Ross. That’s a massive change.
How many games did Hardman miss last year? Over half the year? Yeah that's maybe not massive like you say.

How many games does Moore have to be a clueless f*** before people admit he isn't good.

I bet he would be great in the Arena League, or even the USFL/XFL, but he is coming up on 30 NFL games, he has had 2 full off-seasons, and attended the Mahomes Summer Camp.

He may make a play, or even a couple, but individual plays mean nothing when you don't run the correct route, you can't identify the soft spot in zone defense, etc.

Rice has been better than every WR drafted before him except Addison but is still take Rice bc Addison is a slot player. I don't trust him outside full time

So, unless I miscounted, today's effort was 16 catches, 22 targets, 166 yards, 1 TD. Rice and Toney combined for 9 catches for 59 yards and a TD. ESPN doesn't post 1st downs, so maybe someone else can figure that out.

So basically the same as the last couple weeks, statistically.

But Andy seems to have decided that Toney and Rice should get more targets than the rest of the group, so that's good to see, especially Rice. Hopefully their targets continue to rise.

The next four weeks will be interesting.

That's a good question. I'm not ready to give up on him but so far, he's not been much improved like we all had hoped. They drafted the guy in the 2nd round just last year. I would bet he will get another year or 2 before the chiefs decide to move on from him.

Let me say that again. Justin Watson is our best receiver.

That is a FN problem.

Two things can be true ya know. He's playing great but it's also a reflection of what the people in front of him arent doing. I just don't see what's wrong with acknowledging that.

Nope. I went into this season skeptical that the group would immediately be productive but also patient enough to appreciate that we have the best QB of all time, a top-5 offensive mind of all time calling plays, and maybe that was enough to be okay.

I don't think the WRs suck I just think they need more experience and Mahomes will pick teams apart,
