Year Two of the Matt Quatraro tenure. Time to take a step up this year. Active in free agency and trades this offseason. A new look pitching rotation and bullpen. Will the young players take the leap up offensively? Bobby Witt extension? New stadium? Will Vinny recover from injury? Salvy taking aim at the Royals record book? Yeah, we made the playoffs, so we should be doing everything we can to win those games. You ****ing people act like any criticism of the team is blasphemy. In 24 September games they are averaging 2.9 runs scored per game and have a team OPS of .574. They've scored 70 runs this month which is 8 less than the next closest team, the White Sox. They have the lowest OPS in the ML this month and is damn near 40 points lower than the White Sox (.611).

I don't want to see them get swept in the Wild Card round and lose 1-0 in both of them. Our offense is atrocious right now and I don't see anything changing, because 6/9 of our hitters are black holes.

Also this is not surprising but it's why you just want to get in. Already adding Marsh and Lorenzen to the pen plus now Singer. He can just turn it loose and throw the fastball as hard as he can with his nasty slider and not worry about a 3rd pitch.

There's actually going to be a real question of who they keep and who they don't put on the roster. Talking about guys like Hernandez, Schreiber and especially Zerpa. Zerpa's been lights out in September but you do already have 3 lefties in Long, Lynch and Bubic.

The best team in the AL wins 57% of the time.

We win 53% of the time.

Its barely a difference. Plus we have a post season advantage because our top 3 SPs are so good and we can rely on them more.

Solid point. Plus, the rosters shrink back down to 26, right? So yeah, they’ll have some decisions to make. And if Vinnie is back and makes the roster, that’ll remove one of the position players.
