They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

If someone with MVS's speed didn't have some type of issue, he would have been far more expensive than what KC is paying.

Same thing when JuJu was here on a one year prove it deal or getting Toney's athleticism and cheap rookie contract for a third.

He has skills but he isn't a fully complete WR1.

Watson is giving us what we hoped we would get from Skyy and Skyy is giving us what many thought Watson would.

The kid needs to start to produce or get out of the way and let Ross have his snaps.

Seriously, dude? People will say, “What a catch by Watson!”

And then in the next sentence tell us that our WRs suck so much that Watson is our WR1.

Are you living in another world? He gets credit in the immediate moment but then minutes later is used as ammunition for how much this group sucks.

Not totally unwarranted, though lol

We can say he’s balling out but it’s also sad that he’s our best WR.

I decided that Watson sucked during preseason and refuse to change my mind.

Should’ve keep Smith Marsette or whatever his name was.

Boo hoo. We’re 4-1 and won a SB last year with effectively the same WR group and were the best offense in the league..

I’m so sad that our receivers sucked last year and we won a SB.

I mean....that's pretty accurate. He's stepped up but that doesn't change that he really shouldn't be in a position to need to.

We should all praise him and give him credit for doing what he's doing, but we can also acknowledge that we really shouldn't be relying on him being our best WR. Imagine when Rice gets fully integrated in the offense or Toney also steps up and these Watson plays are more pleasant surprises rather than necessary plays that we NEED him to make.

This is obviously an ongoing argument you’re carrying here from other posters. I don’t know anything about that..

But this isn’t a fair assessment on the receiving corps, IMO. We lost what would have been a 1,000 yard receiver in Juju and the best gadget receiver in Mecole Hardman. We essentially replaced them with two rookies in Rice and Ross. That’s a massive change.

I just want to win, dude. I don’t discount what Watson does as you’re doing with this.

It’s a team game. I’m still going to trust Mahomes and Veach and Reid to get us competitive enough so that we have a shot. That’s been the goal every single year with a dollop of sustainability.

Nah, it’s not. No one wanted to keep JuJu. If you asked people right now, “Would you rather have JuJu for the rest of this season or Rice?” The overwhelming majority would say Rice.

Hardman was injured the entire second half of last season and played a single half in the playoffs.

Not remotely a massive change.

Our WR's lead the league in drops. Not the stat you want to be #1 in.
