In reality he may be brought back as just the return guy.

If he's nothing more than return man that runs a few gadget plays, he has value there.

Would rather have Hardman than Toney. Hardman makes some bone headed plays at times but he's gonna be cheap as hell, he's still young, can clearly play that role and has only been an injury concern a couple of times which were legit reasons.
Toney is always hurt. Dude has a hammy ever 2 weeks |

I do not want Toney back at all. He's is a loose canon gadget guy who loses entire ballgames for you sometimes.

He's gone. His little bitch fit the day of the AFCCG probably sealed that.

Unless they want to give him one more shot with a full TC and see what he can do, I guess. He would be a pretty decent H-Back and Reid does love his gimmicks from time to time.

His drops will be less likely to lead to INTs if he’s working in the flats or 1-on-1 with LBs. |

I think that missing training camp is what sunk Toneys entire season. It seemed like he waited until camp to have some basic cleanup surgery (someone can fill in what it was and when it went down) that minor surgery allowed him to sit most of if not all of camp. You can't take the elevator to the top, you gotta take the stairs. Skipping training camp really hurt the chemistry and overall readiness and it was on full display the first game vs the lions where Toney had more drops than I can ever remember a player having. After that he was behind the 8 ball all season. Lining up offsides and hella drops. I think a full training camp fixes that but that is also up to the player. If he comes back and grinds, puts in teh work, full training camp and works on getting better at his craft more than he works on music videos and other hobbies he might end up being a huge asset. taking short cuts to the top won't work, gotta take the stairs and grind |
