As a side note, I completely forgot about Clark until this thread. Makes me wonder about her staying power. Feels like the WNBA is doing more to resist her than to capatilze on her fame. Lets see how that works for them. |

Watching that layup video of Reese and the only conclusion I can make is that she has always just been the biggest at every level and has not had to learn any actual basketball skills as a result. We all knew these types of kids growing up and they can sometimes make it to college but by then they typically get filtered out and exposed. It’s just that in women’s basketball there’s simply not enough talent and size to make that happen to Reese.

The highlights from the recent games make it clear they never should have let her have that time off to rest. She's making the old heads look ancient. Their pick and roll game had Cunningham looking special ed and her constantly shoving the ball down the court for two step scores is changing the whole game.

These are the type of "highlights" that get tweeted for the wnba
Just never worth watching if it isn't Caitlin Clark.

Caitlyn Clark shoots 55% from 2....and shes a GUARD who shoots alot of shots from further out. Angel is missing point blank shots over...and over again. I don't even know why a coach lets her play shes so bad offensively. Maybe that is a disconnect between NBA stats and WNBA stats (bigs and players in the WNBA may shoot lower percentage from two because they arent as athletic as NBA players) but it is god awful. |
