I remember really wanting the Chiefs to sign him that year he went to Baltimore, he still played well at an old age but injuries got the best of him. He was a beast.

I can keep going….. Elite WRs prime extends till 34… even after they are still good for 700+ on average (with many having huge seasons till 36)

Now add an ELITE WR with Mahomes and Andy Reid. Oh add a dash of Kelce and Toney…. Hopkins will destroy one on one matchups period

Kind of disingenuous framing of his recent history.

1. He turned 31 in June and has yet to play his age 31 season.
2. His age 28 season was 2020
3. His age 29 season, he was injured mid-year
4. His age 30 season, he was recovering from that injury and suspended to start the year, and he still was hugely productive when he did return despite playing with garbage at QB.

Question: Is something up with him? Skeleton in the closet or something? Seems odd he hasn't signed with *somebody* at this point.

Still kinda old to be called in his “prime”, even if he has a list of injuries and PED suspensions as excuses the last 2 years.

Supposedly Randy Moss was done in 2006. Then he went off for 1500 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2007.

I'm leaning towards the "he's waiting for the Chiefs to get CJ extended and free up some money" unless somebody else just blows him away with an offer. And to this point nobody is coming close to what he thinks that is. NO PROOF, NO RUMORS, just what an old guy with some common sense thinks.

I think this would be a distraction to Pat. He needs to groom the rookies and keep cap space open to continuously keep the OL fresh with good backups.

The never ending list of things that people think Mahomes will be "distracted" by is hilarious. You ****ers must think Mahomes is either dumb as a stump and runs after every new shiny object or he's so mentally weak that he gets sidetracked by everything. He is not someone who will be distracted from his goals.

Answer: Maybe he's wants a SB ring and is waiting for the Chris Jones extension to be wrapped up so he can sign with *us* and get a couple. Just spit-balling here...

Good lord. They're clearly not sending their best and brightest here to post on ChiefsPlanet.com.

this is kind of the important part right? We have Sneed, Bolton, Creed and Smith need new contracts next year. The cap is going to start to hurt the team next year.

If we have extra cap this year, it rolls over to extra cap space next year. Mahomes has proven he can win a SB with the talent we have at WR right now, not adding Dhop.

If you have the right Capologist(s), the salary cap is essentially a myth.

We have the right Capologist(s).
