Except they did.

They had 2 games to see what FSU had in the stable and went with the team that ended a 2 year undefeated streak and the team that beat them.

You're going to work yourself into a shoot if you're trying to convince anyone that FSU would have been anything beyond a speedbump for Michigan in the playoffs.

Well since he's unwilling to address hypotheticals the answer is 'Bama I guess.

Seems like 'hypotheticals' are the only stance he can actually try to defend. Curious why he won't...

I think he’s arguing Georgia should’ve made it as one of the best 4 teams.

Wasn’t arguing for FSU. I am no UGA fan but there is no way they are the fifth best team in the nation. This is exactly a case of when a team loses vs quality of loss.

It shouldn't matter. Clearly Florida State isn't a Top 4 team. But they earned the right to play in a 4-team championship. Last year TCU clearly wasn't even a Top 10 team. If we are going based on who is the best team, Georgia clearly is the best team or at the very least #2, so why didn't they get in?

If Florida State beats Georgia, they are the National Champion IMO. And it isn't even in doubt like it was with UCF when they did it.

If you go undefeated & win your conference title game you should AUTOMATICALLY get in if you are a power 5 school. PERIOD.

Now I know for sure I'm on the right side of this argument.

Thanks.

Also, @ thinking FSU beating Georgia is even a remote possibility.

2% I would give them. Maybe 3-4% because so many of Georgia's guys will sit out and wait for the NFL Draft.

Exactly. I don't disagree that they're one of the best 4, but this is just not the year to lose your CCG and expect to get in.
