Like I said, IF Reid wanted Dorsey to continue on as Chiefs GM, he would not have been fired as much as Clark disliked Dorsey.

I don't think Reid's thoughts had any input on the decision made. Clark told him what he planned to do and Andy said ok.

Maclin was going to be a cut regardless, unless Veach or Dorsey planned to cut Alex Smith. That needs to die already.

You're dumb. And this conversation is old and bland.

Bring something new or shut it.
You are forgetting that I'm the one that brought up the Logan signing...making it impossible to resign Maclin and their draft picks

You should try to bring something new...like not telling everyone they are "dumb" because you disagree with them...

I could call you "dumb" for thinking Berry was making $13 million this year..

When Reid's team tanked in Philly, he was given a GM - but someone promoted from within that he was okay with, while Reid still held all the real power. Probably the same situation that is developing here.

He was the GM from 2001 to 2012.

Try again, ****.

Maclin was going to be cut either way, which was fine. Can't help the club from the tub.

But I think it's crazy to assume that Reid had no role in this or that he had no role in choosing the replacement. Particularly if you buy the official tripe that Hunt made a snap decision this summer and fired him of his own accord because he didn't play nice with others... and then we are to believe he interviews and hires GMs while Reid is in the dark and not allowed to influence the process? Please.

Chunt probably had plenty of help looking for the replacement and probably ran every candidate by Reid. He's not going to hire someone Reid doesn't want to work with after he just fired the last guy for basically the same reasons. And for that reason, Reid will always be above BV in stature in the org. You don't get someone canned and then help choose their replacement and think that person is your equal.

Reid is basically going to be de facto HC/GM here before long, if they keep all this together, is my guess. Chunt seems thrilled that we contend for a playoff spot every year now.

Man this whole thing is a big stretch.

-Why do you guys think the thing he regretted the most in Philly, being the acting GM, is something he desires again?
-Who said he was kept in the dark about decisions?
-Of course he ran ideas by Andy, but Andy wasn't the executor.

Who buys that Clark woke up one day and said I gotta fire that glasses wearing bitch...outside of conspiracy theorists?

Andy has shouted from the rooftops that he doesn't want to be the acting GM again and you ****ers keep saying over and over again that it's all a big ploy so he can be acting GM again. If you want dane to stop insulting y'all so much, stop making it easy for him to do it.

Yep...the most telling part of the presser was that Chunt was clueless about any internal strife until Spring....which coincidentally, coincided with Reid's extension. Amazing how there where no known issues until time for him to sign on for another 5 years....and Dorsey is fired the same day AR signs.

Unless people are completely ignorant...Dorsey stays if Reid wants him to. Chunt is out of the loop on real matters...he said, inadvertently, as much today. It explains why Ballard was cut loose before he knew there was a problem.

... which means someone with Hunt's ear had enough power and influence to convince him to fire the GM very quickly after these 'issues' came to light.

And who do we think was reporting this to CHunt in the first place? Who has that kind of pull on Hunt's string? Only one person in the organization. The one who got a big money extension the very same day as he was gone

Not sure which is more concerning - that Hunt is so heavily influenced by Reid as to fire the GM so quickly, that he was clueless as to this supposedly gigantic rift going on in his organization until spring, or that we now probably have 5 more years of wild card contention to look forward to.

Andy had to know Maclin was going to be cut. He may not have liked the way it was done, but someone like Maclin getting cut isn't going to be a surprise to the HC. The coaching staff is doing the evaluations of the players.

I'm not sure why you care since it is all scripted like wrestling.

No..Reid got the GM he wants. Period. He doesn't sign an extension then let CHunt just choose whomever he wants after the fact. It doesnt work that way...especially with someone of Reid's stature.
