Google's updated search algorithm is terrible

Google recently updated their algo's for search.

The newest iteration is horrific and many items that used to appear are gone and much of what is searched is off topic or poor matches.

I know it learns as people click on the relevant info and pass on mismatched searches but boy it's bad.

Chiefsplanet searches are nearly non-existent at this point.

If you work in SEO/SEM or paid search, good luck to you.

I get paid to manipulate their algo.

Personally, I only use Google for local results. Use Brave for everything else.

That's nice.

But I'm much more interested in what you had for lunch, and if you've been on an "aeroplane" this week.

Any updates?

Maybe that's simply due to the decline in quality of the internet.

I like to refer to the airport as the aerodrome, and I believe that as a society we're not using the word aerodrome enough.

When they stopped using the slogan “Don’t be Evil” that should have been a good clue.

That damn ESPN app does the same shit. Puts the women’s score up top and even soccer which is an exclusively women’s sport. No amount of excess scrolling is going to get anyone to pay attention to any of that garbage.

I hate that. I get on and I see "Barcelona defeats Real Madrid 6-1"....I think "wow, I didn't know they played today!" Then I see it was a women's game. WTF? Nobody gives a shit.

Google Gemini AI even worse than Google search.

Look up the guy in charge and his statements.

I won't post those because it feels like DC content.
