Cooper Rush (QB Central Mich.) - possible Chiefs 2017 draft target?
I know everyone is pretty much on the Patrick Mahomes train and rightfully so. But this kid Cooper Rush ...a lot of traits similar to Alex Smith, particularly the cerebral aspect. Could be a guy that wins over the Chiefs in interviews, especially Dorsey and/or Reid given how much they reportedly love Smith.
So just consider this a heads up. Im not saying the Chiefs should draft him ...just mentioning him as a guy they MIGHT like and end up taking late or as a UDFA. Below is a scouting report from nfl.com as well as some game footage which, in my opinion, conflicts with the scouting report in some ways. Any time you can put the future of your franchise in the hands of a guy that screams "poor man's Andy Dalton", you'd really be a fool not to do it.

Maybe as an UDFA. Don't waste a pick on him. Our last pick from there hasn't worked out very well. IMHO.

Nah. Was hoping this kid would take the next step this year and just didn't. He's like Alex Smith with Chad Pennington's arm strength.

There's a Central Mich vs Okla State vid from 2015 in the OP. Here's one from their 2016 clash that was uploaded to youtube six days ago. I will update the OP with it:

Too bad its not reversed. Chad had a terrible arm but he could read a defense and make checks on the fly which is how he hung around so long

With a name like that, he picked the wrong position. Should have been a running back

"Lack of functional arm strength..."
