Find a power chair mobility company that's local. If he has the right diagnosis or condition, his medical insurance may pay part of it. They will be able to use his insurance information and see how much the out of pocket will be.

If you’re looking at used scooters pay attention to the batteries. They do go bad and the right ones aren’t cheap.

A lot of elderly folks that come into the bank have them. They're quiet, and scoot along pretty quickly. I think you can get either full payment or subsidy with Medicare, but you'd have to check on that.
