0 - Dude. This sucks hard.
If you've read any of my posts you know one of my sons had the virus in New Rochelle (Ground ****ing zero) He then gave it to me. It lasted a week today I'm feeling myself. My wife and youngest son have been quarantined in my house with us so it'll be a miracle if they don't get it. My wife is a realtor. Their ordered to shut down tonight at midnight. I (Red lobster manager) have been put on leave of absence & have filed for unemployment. We(NY) were already in a partial shutdown but at midnight tonight it kicks up to the next level. Barbers,Game stops,Gyms etc.. anything retail must close their doors. I'm 54 & I haven't been unemployed since I was 15. My wife is high energy..work keeps her sane. We forgot to get to the liquor store tonight so that was just salt in our gashing wound. They close for good tonight. I popped in here just now for a distraction & a possible laugh. Poop jokes are good. Maybe I'll swing over to the girl on girl thread that usually helps. Its always interesting to hear different takes from around the country. Especially those that are still as my son says..a week or 2 behind us(NY). Thanks to those who have sent me well wishes after reading some of my posts. I'd like to say its no big deal but well.. the hysteria alone makes it a big deal. My suggestion to everyone is you personally don't have to believe the hype but that sure as **** doesn't mean you shouldn't be getting ready to eventually be where I'm sitting. There is no place to go & nothing to do. I'm guessing next week we won't be able to leave our property except for the 30 minute grocery store runs. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but it kind of sucks here. I'm out! Off to Girls on Girls.. |

Turns out that when I'm told to do nothing but stay home and binge watch Game of Thrones, I'm in a pretty good mood.

"I've had some bad times, lived through some sad times."
Honestly the Kenny Rogers thread is the only thing making life worth living right now. When Blowfish said "She relieved on me...I'll never know just why she peed on me...." I decided not to end it. |

I think avoiding MSM and all news outlets had been the key. So much negative over hyping and politics.
Less of that and my stress has dropped considerably. Almost down to nothing at the moment. Amazing how refreshing and awesome life is when you turn off MSM. So many let it control their life. |

It will get weirder before things start improving.
I am thinking mid July. The last 2 quarters will be much improved. Right now I will give it a weak 7. 2 weeks from now will be a weak 5 Will dip to a 3 and build from there Hang on boys we will survive this. This too shall pass |

I'm okay; I'm frustrated at the hysteria and hoarding. The lack of accurate information isn't helpful. Don't trust the media at all. Now the Stay at Home order; I'm almost 62 and most of my social life is with people at work. Still have a job, have food, internet, TV, etc. Just don't like being told by our government what have to do. Don't trust them, doesn't matter who it is.

My job isn’t in jeopardy, but work has been much more stressful. Having to be calm for everyone else when I don’t feel that way. Going to the grocery store to stare at empty shelves is depressing. Retirement situation has gone to shit. Worried about my dad. My wife and I have less patience for each other. About a 6.

If the weather picks up and I can fish and mushroom hunt in the next couple of weeks then that will make it all alright.
But I am drunk as shit and listening to George Jones right now, so I could change my vote soon enough. |

Day-to-day hasn't changed much yet... combination of a job that won't go away, Arizona not being a hot spot yet, and having traveled a decent amount in the first ~8-10 weeks of the year already and wanting to slow down on spending and travel.
The uncertainty (not just here) sucks though. |
