The franchise has been rife with social commentary since its inception. There are clear parallels to real world racism, xenophobia and LGBT acceptance at pretty much every turn. The entire thing is clearly a metaphor for the Civil Rights Movement complete with analogues of Martin Luther King Jr (Professor X) and Malcolm X (Magneto). The movies aren’t subtle either. If you remember Iceman first telling his parents he was a mutant in X2 (“Have you tried not being a mutant?”); that’s obviously a play on the unique LGBT experience of “coming out”. X3 dealt with the mutant cure which could easily be interpreted as an allusion to real world conversion therapy. Idk, man. It seems obvious to me. You seem sincere but you’ve really gotta pick your battles sometimes. I don’t think this is the one. |

Now if they do that thing where they draw the female characters all frumpy and I can't fap to Rogue anymore, than we can probably all agree that they've taken things too far, right?

It was always kinda funny that they made all the female models look pretty similar tbh outside of Jubilee.

I was thinking about that regarding Rogue earlier though. Why was everyone in love with her? Jean and Storm were both stacked as well. Jean also had the redhead thing going. |

Wonder if it's an arc with Mags leading the X Men in the absence of Charles. This could be insanely awesome.
If it sucks, I can just pretend it doesn't exist, like I've done with almost everything after Avengers: Endgame. |

As a kid, Jean seemed older and when I'm 12 years old, I don't recognize the advantages associated with same. I mean now - yeah, i'm betting Jean knows some moves. But yeah, the ****/marry/kill lays it out pretty well and I don't really even see room for argument. |

Do you really want to be married to a telepath?
And I’m not sure I’d want to risk ****ing a chick who could kill me by touching me. In order to knock boots with her my whole body has to be wrapped in Saran Wrap and at that point I’m not sure I see the charm. Might have to marry Storm, **** Jean and kill Rogue. |
