Do you really take some time to appreciate where we are?

Became a Chiefs fan in the early 90's when Word, Okoye, DT, Smith was here.

Looking back on 30+ years with this team. I remember the 97 playoffs like it was yesterday when we went 13-3 and the ****ing Vaseline greased up donkey dicks beat us in Arrowhead and what an absolute gut punch that was.

So I wanna share something here. I went through some awful shit in my teen years with multiple friends being killed and a lot of other stuff in my life.

One thing I really learned from loss, was how to appreciate when things were truly good.

As a fan, sometimes I just sit and think it's wild for us to be here in this position. Where we're the absolute center of every sports show, every commentator, all the hate we get (which I love), and the fact that from top to bottom we have the best organization in the NFL.

Bro it feels weird to even type that with all the Carl Peterson years (some weren't that bad but some were truly awful).

You guys don't know this but I was friends with Jovan Belcher and I remember the day the news hit and before I even saw the name I knew. Don't ask me how but I did. He used to text me about upgrades for his car and send me pics and vice versa.

I'm friends with several former Chiefs players and sometimes we talk about how crazy this time is.

Anyway, the point is......man I hope you guys really take all this in right now because we will never get it again like this.

From Pat, to Andy, Trav, this defense, everything. There are fans for teams for 50+ years that die and never see a single Lombardi. EVER. We've seen 3 in four years. And hopefully the only 3peat to ever happen.

Just a reminder to really be present. This is some damn good times to be a Chiefs fan, fellas.

You should have been here for the 70’s and been a Chiefs fan in California. Yes, When Brady was winning Super Bowl after Super Bowl, I made peace with the real possibility that I may never see the Chiefs win one. I even started quitting the NFL except for games with Chiefs in them. The NFL must have gotten scared because right after this we got Mahomes. Enjoy the ride, it’s taken all 55 years of my conscious life to get here.

If you tell me you're a Chiefs fan, then I'm good with that, at least for now. I don't mind the people that are new to the kingdom. We all join whenever we join. I was a bandwagon fan 57 or so years ago myself. I don't much respect the ones that change their fandom with every change in the standings though. I have more respect for the long-term Donkey and Raider fans than the ones that jump around. So, welcome to any new fans that intend to stick around for the long-haul. To the others that are only here for the beer, food, and celebrating, please stay on the fringes and don't hurt anyone else when you scamper away at the first sign of trouble.

There have been a few times where it felt like I had let the time slip by... like stressing the **** out over the 2nd Bengals AFCCG and then the Eagles SB. When those were over, there was a bit of "****, I was supposed to enjoy that more..."

But yeah, overall I don't stress the small stuff or even some of the big stuff, and for the most part just enjoy the ride.

I've literally been here since 2009 you mental midget, since you can't do math. And far too many people, like you too, have gotten used to talking shit like that on the net without getting punched in the mouth. Exactly why that kid through it was ok to call Kelce a pillowbiter with no repercussions.

Seriously, have a glass of and do just that.

The whole reason I started this thread is because my buddy is a life long Pats fan and brought it up. I think Trav retires after this season ESP if we 3-peat. No better way to go out than that.

Jones will be here another 3-4 but probably won't be playing at this level by then, and there won't be many holdovers from these teams by then either.

The only one that'll be here for a long time from here is Pat.

I watch the game.

Then I rewatch the game when I'm cutting clips.

Then I listen to the home radio broadcast.

Then I listen to the road radio broadcast.

If it's a national game, if it's Harlan, I listen to the Westwood One broadcast.

Then you pray for 3 minutes of coverage on Inside the NFL.

Then you pray for 8 minutes of coverage on ESPN Turning Point.

Don't forget to watch Boomer describe your Chiefs dynasty happenings on Primetime.

Enjoy every drop of this.

As a lifelong Chiefs fan whose had his heart ripped out so many times, I am taking nothing for granted. I am thoroughly enjoying the ride!

I hated the Patriots throughout their dynasty. People are beginning to hate on my Chiefs, but after 50 years of misery, all I can say to them is SUCK IT!

It's the peak.

Enjoy it.

That's why the talk of getting X amount of titles turns me off. I approach every year as a gift, and remember how HARD it is for the Chiefs to win a title.
